When Dell first launched in the UK, they were unique in offering an onsite installation and education programme. At that time, the ability of home and family PC users to install, configure and maximise the use of their computer equipment was more limited than is the case today. Installations were also more complicated, with less capacity for the “plug and play” simplicity so evident in today’s machines.
